Inuit's main form of housing is commonly known as an igloo, translated from English to snowhouse. Though this is
not the exclusive style of home for the Inuit people, it is the one that most people are familiar with. The snow that
is used to build an igloo must have a lot of structural strength in order to be cut and placed in the appropriate manner.
The best ice to use is ice that has been blown by the wind and is easier to compact the ice crystals. If the igloo is
build correctly, it should support the weight of a person standing on top of the roof of it.
The heat from the inside of the igloo causes the interior to melt which is used to strengthen the overall building by
building up ice sheets.
